Project Nomad – 2007 Kawasaki Nomad VN1500
Goal – To create a lasting impression on the owners and followers of the big wheel bagger scene and spread breast cancer awareness through this one of a kind custom bike.
The Nomad received a complete makeover from front to back. Starting with the front end, the trees, forks, and brakes were all changed out to accommodate the necessary rake for the larger 26″ front wheel. Gorbys Machine provided a custom cut cancer ribbon front wheel and floorboards for this project. The wheel was wrapped in a Dirty South Designs Hybrid front fender ( Available in our webstore) . A custom fixed fairing mount was built to hold the Assault fairing to include 4 x 6.5″ speakers and double din head unit assembly. The tank and side covers remained stock on the bike. The rear of the bike is fitted with a custom Vixen one piece tail with one of a kind rear sliding bag lids housing a pair of 6×9″ speakers. The rear is also outfitted with air ride. A custom seat pan was made and upholstered. 2 Mounts were built to house 2 different trunks for traveling. Both are quick release hardware equipped. Possibly one of the more notable attributes is the retention of the trailer hitch. The license plate frame is removable to gain access to a ball and hitch mount for pulling a small trailer.
The entire bike was painted in a black ice pearl and outfitted with custom hot pink pearl and pink pearl artwork from front to back. Both ribbons in the rear of the vehicle act as hidden run / turn / brake lights.
